Team NEWS attended the Danish Parachute Union HCP 4 way skydiving event at Q-Center Ålborg saturday May 29th. Great event!

Well this time Claus stayed at home to attend to his dentist appointment – so Martin Halfer from Bodyflight Vison joined NEWS as jumping coach.

NEWS in an “H” exit from the OY-NMH Nomad over Ålborg

It was really great fun to take part in the first 4 way skill camp of the year at Q-Faldskærmscenter. A good opportunity to test some exits form a side door plane, and a chance to prepare for the upcoming season for team NEWS.

Here’s the video from the jumps made at the camp. The first jump where Flemming from Voluntas joined NEWS the camera guy was Thomas Thorndahl with his 0.3 wide angle. The last 8 jumps I made with my Century 0.55, except for a small test with the Opteka 0.3.

As you see everyone had their challanges along the way, be we got it right by the end of day 2.

Yep finally we are approaching spring and it’s time for skydiving competitions. First one with 4 way Team News at DFU Open wich was hosted by Skydive 2000 in Vamdrup.

Danish weather had us on standby A LOT. But we got to jump 5 rounds by jumping the few early hours of day on both friday and saturday – yep first load at 0700.

News improved the average score by a 100 percent from last years DFU Open. We just missed a podium place by 2 points. Detailed results are here at Skyleague.com
