Christian got a wonderful opportunity to test his brand new Phoenix-Fly tracking suit last week. I am also flying my tracking suit and we struggled to stay together for the duration of our flights as we are both still new to flying these things. But I managed to get some exit photos from two of these test flights.
I have very few other words for these Phoenix Fly suits than – BRILLIANT and AMAZINGLY FUN!
Here’s the footage from the mid December 2 way ‘mini-track-jump’ with Thorndahl.
As December is usually freezing cold we decided to do some low jumps all day. I like this video, because it also has me in it… Both Thomas and I had our cx 105′s on (one with .5 video angle and the other with .3 – both Century optics)
Alice and I went on 2 absolutely fantastic tracking jumps last weekend at EKRK Roskilde dropzone. We we treated with a beautiful August sky that carved out a visual scenery that made you want to stay up there forever. I brought my still cam and played around with some new settings – as I’m still learning how to get the best shots.
There is a long way to go for perfection – both for perfecting tracking skills as well as learning the tricks of photography along the way. But with each jump I think both skills are exercised well so hopefully some of it will stick. The best part of learning new stuff is the journey there, and with skydiving it’s so much fun you can’t stop trying again and again.
Here’s some of the shots from the day that I think are worth sharing.
