Our days at EKRK – the Tune/Roskilde airport may be coming to an end (truly hope not!), but last weekend we had a unique and fun “long weekend” there. Everything went as planned, all tandem passengers got their jumps on a spectacular august sky, people were fun jumping, Alice and I went on more tracking jumps and we enjoyed a superb evening with well prepared fresh steaks from our grill master Tim and his friendly helpers.
Our trusted pilot Ulf delivered precision flying, in particular on Sunday where he managed to edge his way through the tall clouds that threatened to spoil our fun. At one point I thought I had to land with my tandem passenger again as during our climb all I observed was packed clouds beneath us. But Ulf just smiled and made a loooong final approach before he gave the go to open the door and exit – and sure enough we were just moving past the cloud, now with a full view to the ground and our landing area. Great flying makes life easy for any tandem master.
Søren was back in the tandem master seat and looked like he ws having loads of fun. Beeing a bit windy/bumpy on Sunday both he and I were very thankful to the well timed landing assistance we got from both Formanden, Peter and John.
Video dude Gufler made some ground practice for a new exit procedure for his tandem videos. I never figured out how he would copy this particular one for the climb out at 4.000 meters…but I guess it worked out perfect as the passenger was very happy with his work.
Ohh, I see he modified it to a not so lazy version (he he sorry Gufler…)
You can see more from this weekend at Tim’s place.
