DFU Cup II at HLF Skydive

Posted on 22 September 2009 by anders

I had the pleasure of being a video guy at this years second DFU Cup, a 4-way scramble cup. It is designed to introduce 4-way to new and old skydivers that have not yet taken the time to acquire 4-way skills or to compete with other teams. Experienced jumpers from our national teams and novice RW jumpers are mixed so everyone can learn and improve.

I took the opportunity to improve my own video skills. Learned some good stuff that I will use and remember to apply to future video jumps.

Here’s a video from team Mirror Balls – round #5. The team got a 4th place.

And here’s the full 5 rounds from team Shake-it-Baby. They ended up number 2nd in the competition.

On the first 3 jumps I gave a little wing on exit so I unfortunately floated a bit flat. But I fixed it for the last 2 jumps with this team. So good lessons learns for next time out.
